                 As we all know this season started out pretty rough; mother nature was
not in the best of spirit, Snow was our biggest problem and it contributed to many unforseeable  days.  In spite of the weather and delays, 9 brave golfers managed to show up at  Hyland Hills Golf Club in Pinehurst, NC. to kick off a three day weekend of Golf. There we started the season off with what we called "Fun Day".  All nine of us played 18 holes to break in those old muscles and fine tuning our swings for the year.

              Since there were only 9 of us, we paired off in threes playing "Captain's Choice".   What a beautiful day it was playing at Little River in Pinehurst, NC!  
The going was slow but enjoyable.  We ended up all 9 of us coming in on the last
 two holes together.  We were all trying to out drive one another on the last hole, too.  Needless to say we believe Robert Ritch still has the stuff to smash a ball a
 mile.
